Caidyn Crowder is soaring on cloud nine after winning the title of Jones College’s Most Beautiful.
The annual pageant was held in the Fine Arts Auditorium on April 20 and was emceed by Allyson Knotts, while Jones OnStage provided the audience with memorable entertainment. Dariyel Johnson, crowned 2020 Most Beautiful, was present to crown her successor.
Out of the thirteen young women who participated in the pageant, the Top Six contestants chosen were Crowder, Keely Skellion, Rylee Brabham, Lydia Ruth Odom, Brinley Bullock and Karsyn Ulmer, with Odom, Bullock and Ulmer qualifying as first, second and third alternate.
Further awards were given to Kyra Lampley as Most Photogenic, Josarah Slover as Miss Congeniality and Brinley Bullock for Best Essay.
“It truly is an honor to be Jones College Most Beautiful,” said Crowder. “When they called my name I was so nervous but in an exciting way because I never dreamed that it would be me honestly! It truly is a joy to represent a place that I love!”
Crowder will begin nursing school in the fall at the University of Mobile where she will obtain a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She hopes to further her education in becoming a Nurse Practitioner with a master’s in Business. She will attend Miss Mississippi in June as Miss Jones County and will compete for the title of Miss Mississippi 2021.
The JC Most Beautiful Pageant is sponsored by the Jones yearbook, and proceeds go to fund the Madge Mailey Journalism Scholarship.
